Method and principle of using bulk density instrument for grain quality testing

The electronic grain bulk density device is a specialized measuring tool for measuring grain grade. The bulk density is the weight per unit volume, and the bulk density of wheat and corn is the weight of one liter of wheat and corn under standard bulk density device experiments.

Design principle and purpose: Reflects the fullness of corn kernels, influenced by moisture and impurities. The bulk density of corn is now used as the basis for grading, replacing the previous pure grain rate. As a volume, or in other words, one liter, is a unit volume. The weight of one liter of corn is called the bulk density of corn. The larger the bulk density, the higher the quality, indicating that insects eat empty shells and there are fewer shriveled corn kernels.

The ST128 electronic (grain) bulk density tester is a new type of grain quality testing instrument developed simultaneously with the research and development of the new national standard for corn, which complies with the "GB/T 5498-2013 Grain and Oil Inspection Bulk Density Measurement". It can not only measure the bulk density of large grain crops such as corn, but also small grain crops such as millet, wheat, sorghum, etc. It is suitable for the bulk density measurement of multiple varieties of grains. The instrument is an intelligent weighing instrument with microprocessor, which has reliable performance, convenient operation and high precision. It uses red LED Nixie tube to display the results. It can be printed by a random printer or connected to a computer through an interface.

Operating steps:

1. First, we open the lid of the box, take out all the components inside, and select the funnel according to the grain type.

2. Then we need to place the volumetric weight cylinder with an exhaust weight on top of the electronic scale and adjust the zero point when it is empty.

3. Next, we need to remove the capacity cylinder, install it on the iron plate base, and cover it with the middle cylinder.

4. Finally, pour the prepared sample into the grain drum, fill it with water, and scrape it flat. Place the grain cylinder on the middle cylinder, turn on the funnel switch, and let the corn fall freely. After all the samples pass through the middle cylinder and fall into the capacity cylinder, turn off the funnel switch. Grasp the joint between the grain tube and the intermediate tube with your hand, insert the insert accurately into the slot, remove the grain tube, pick up the intermediate tube and the capacity tube, pour out any excess samples on the insert, remove the insert, remove the iron plate base on the capacity tube, and weigh the capacity tube on the electronic scale. The allowable difference between the two tests shall not exceed 3g/L, and the average shall be the result of the grain electronic density measurement.
